The City of Peoria, Arizona is home to over 180,000 people. A suburb of Phoenix, the state capitol, Peoria has grown from a small farming community to a vibrant, modern city. Peoria is the spring training home of both the Seattle Mariners and the San Diego Padres. Peoria is also home to Lake Pleasant a large reservoir covering acres.
The Peoria Fire Department serves the citizens, neighbors, and guests of the City of Peoria. The Peoria Fire Department currently staffs six full time fire stations with a seventh slated to open in the summer of 2007. The department also staffs a part-time station on the shores of Lake Pleasant.
